Course Overview
This termly briefing provides Early Years leaders with up to date guidance, strategic insight, and opportunities to strengthen leadership practice across EYFS. Sessions focus on developing leadership skills, supporting whole school improvement, and offering a critical yet supportive overview of quality across the early years.
Participants will receive timely updates on national and local developments within EYFS, alongside guidance to ensure consistency in judgments across schools. The briefing also provides valuable opportunities for EYFS leaders to network, share practice, and build professional confidence.
The session supports leaders in effective self evaluation and in developing the skills and knowledge required to lead high quality observation, assessment, and planning. It is designed to build capacity within leadership teams, including those new to EYFS leadership roles.

Who should attend?
Early Years Leaders from Liverpool schools
One funded place for Liverpool Authority schools with early years provision. Additional places will be charged at £105. All costs are subject to VAT. Failure to cancel or non-attendance will incur costs. All cancellations must be completed online at www.sil-ltd.co.uk at least 48 hours in advance.
Course Frequency
Colleagues should attend one session per term (choice of morning or afternoon on each date)
