Course Overview
In today’s rapidly evolving societal landscape, educators face novel challenges in addressing complex issues such as gang involvement, misogyny, substance misuse and child financial harms. This CPD course, developed by SIL empowers PSHE leads, teachers, and safeguarding staff with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to deliver impactful, sensitive, and effective safeguarding education through the PSHE curriculum.
Through six focused half-day sessions, participants will explore how to create a safe learning environment, promote positive values, and support students in making informed choices and managing risk. This course takes a public health approach to harm reduction and is grounded in current research and local context.
