Course Overview
Step Forward for 3-4's is a network for schools and early years settings working with pre-school and nursery-aged children. The Step Forward for 3-4’s Network will run once a term, providing dedicated time and space for collaborative learning, shared discussion, and sector-wide discussion. It will bring together practitioners and teachers to explore best practice, reflect on provision, and strengthen outcomes for three-year-olds across all settings
Why Attend?
Attending this session will help you deepen your understanding of effective practice for three and four year olds and strengthen the quality of your provision. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with other practitioners and teachers, sharing ideas, challenges, and successful strategies
What will it cover?
· Understanding typical child development for three and four year olds, with a focus on how developmental progress influences learning and behaviour.
· Exploring the prime areas of learning—communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and physical development.
· Developing high quality adult–child interactions that extend thinking, language, and independence.
· Using effective strategies to create enabling environments that support three and four year olds’ wellbeing and engagement.
· Strengthening approaches that support smooth transitions into nursery and reception classes.
· Identifying practical ways to build school readiness through routines, relationships, and early learning foundations.
Who should attend?
Practitioners/ teachers/room leads of preschool and nursery who work with 3 and 4 year olds.
£80 per delegate. One funded place per Liverpool school/setting with funded 3/4 year olds. All costs are subject to VAT. Failure to cancel or non-attendance will incur costs. All cancellations must be completed online at www.sil-ltd.co.uk at least 48 hours in advance
