From Vision to provision: Planning and implementing In- house SEND Support in an alternative learning space

Course Overview
This course introduces school leaders, SENDCOs, and practitioners to the knowledge and practical tools to develop, manage, and evaluate high-quality SEND Support provision within mainstream school settings in an alternative learning space.

With rising demand for inclusive education and specialist support, In house send support offers a strategic solution to meeting diverse pupil needs and helping them overcome barriers to their learning.

This course provides a comprehensive framework to ensure the alternative learning space is purposefully designed, effectively integrated, and positively impacts pupil outcomes.

This training aligns with Ofsted’s increased emphasis on inclusion, curriculum accessibility, and the effective identification and support of learners with SEND. Across the new inspection model, inclusion is embedded as a recurring evaluation theme. Inspectors examine how schools identify needs early, provide appropriate support, and ensure that learners with SEND experience belonging, safety, and equitable access to the curriculum.
