East Prescot Road Nursery School is a school like no other. Founded in 1947, we are proud of our reputation for providing the very best yearly years education. Generations of families return to us to give their children the best start. We are a Liverpool Maintained Nursery School (MNS), rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted for almost a quarter of a century. We currently have 94 children on roll. The majority of our Children are 3 and 4 years old. In September 2025, we began admitting a small number of 2-year olds.

As Assistant Headteacher, you will support the Headteacher to provide a clear educational vision and direction, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across the school. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the strategic development of our highly inclusive provision, embedding high
expectations, robust assessment and a culture of continuous improvement.
You will empower our team of teachers and early years educators through strong systems, professional development and inspirational leadership, modelling excellence in practice and fostering a shared commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and achievement.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities across the school, you will have a teaching responsibility for one of our classes, planning and delivering “irresistible learning” for all children and creating stimulating environments indoors out outdoors, where children blossom and thrive.
