Woolton High School is a secondary special school for boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. We aim to support our learners to achieve their potential in a range of academic, personal and vocational areas.
Classes are arranged into Year group forms and we also run two ‘Engagement Centre’ Nurture Groups.
We offer access to formal academic qualifications, as well as supporting the personal development needs of our learners.
To deliver high-quality Mathematics teaching to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, enabling them to achieve positive academic, personal and emotional outcomes.
The postholder will create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment, using adaptive teaching, strong behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches to support pupils with a range of additional needs and barriers to learning.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Understanding of SEMH needs, trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches.
Ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable pupils.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Resilience, adaptability and emotional intelligence.
