Due to company expansion we are currently looking for a nursery manager at our Parkview nursery
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. This role offers an opportunity to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive, while ensuring the smooth running of nursery activities. Applicants should have relevant experience in childcare settings and be committed to maintaining high standards of safety and care.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently
Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare services
Develop and implement educational programmes aligned with early childhood development principles
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a welcoming environment
Organise staff rotas, oversee recruitment, and conduct performance appraisals
Ensure the nursery is well-maintained, organised, and fully equipped for children's needs
Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and reporting
Facilitate ongoing staff training and professional development in early childhood education
Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
Extensive knowledge of early childhood education practices and child development stages
Experience working directly with children and understanding their individual needs
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or outreach activities
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
Ability to organise effectively under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
